The Holy Mosque of Jamkaran is located six kilometers east from Qum in the village of Jamkaran. The mosque was built in the year 273 AH on the order of the Imam Madi (A.S), the Twelfth Imam of the Shia and now more than 1160 years passed since the establishment of the Holy Mosque.According to Mohaddes Nouri, contemporary scholars, the mosque was built by Hassan Bin Maslah Jamkarani. Hasan bin Muslah Jamkarani met Hadrat Hojjat ibn al-Hasan Imam Mahdi and he ordered the construction of the mosque.It should be noted that according to the majority of Shia scholars, the order of the construction of Holy Mosque of Jamkaran has occurred in awakening and Hasan bin Muslah Jamkarani was a virtuous and righteous man.On Tuesday evenings large crowds of thousands used to gather on Jamkaran in order to pray. A special pray takes place in the Jamkaran Mosque. The manner of performing the pray in the mosque is such that the two rakah salat has to be made before.After doing this two rakah, in both the rakahs while reciting the Surah al-Hamd, the verse “Iyyaka Na’budu wa Iyyaka Nasta’een ” has to be repeated for one hundred times. It reinforces the Tawhid in men.
